Syn2bio shares to join the sWIG80 index
- Investor relations
Following the trading session on 18 September 2026, Syn2bio shares will be included in the sWIG80 and sWIG80TR indices – the result of a quarterly index portfolio adjustment carried out by GPW Benchmark.
WIG20, mWIG40 and sWIG80 are the three main segment indices of the Warsaw Stock Exchange, together covering the largest and most liquid companies listed on the WSE. Membership in each index is determined by a ranking based on the free-float value of shares and trading turnover: WIG20 consists of the 20 highest-ranked companies, mWIG40 the next 40, and sWIG80 the following 80. The composition of all three indices is reviewed every quarter.
sWIG80 is a price index – its calculation takes into account only changes in the prices of the constituent shares. sWIG80TR, on the other hand, is a total return index – its value also reflects dividends paid out by the companies.
Inclusion in sWIG80 increases the company’s visibility among investors. The index’s composition is physically replicated by one of the ETF funds listed on the WSE, and the index itself also serves as a benchmark for other funds. This may translate into greater investor interest in Syn2bio shares and higher trading liquidity.
